We've been home from the hospital for a week now, and time really does fly by. I swear his nose has gotten bigger although Trevor says he hasn't noticed. He is awake more now for longer periods of time, and is more animated when he is. He knows the sound of our voices, and will look at us.
We tried dinner out last night just the 3 of us. We thought we had the timing down so that Jax would sleep though dinner, but Jax had other plans. As soon as the sushi arrived at the table, he wanted to be held. So, I ate dinner with Jax in one hand and my chop sticks in another. Either way, the sushi was a welcome treat after not having any for so many months. Yum!
Trevor has one more day at home, and then heads back to work on Monday. Jax and I will be on our own. Kind of scary, but we'll settle into a routine and figure things out.
